Newcastle Airport lounges compared

Newcastle’s three lounges are all run by Aspire and all open at 03:30, which makes this the purest price-tier decision at any UK airport: £46, £57 or £64 for progressively more space and service in the same building. One detail decides it for a lot of people — two of the three are adults only. Checked against Aspire’s own site in October 2026.

Our picks at Newcastle

Reasoned from published prices, opening hours and age policies — not from visits, and never from a paid placement.

Best value

Aspire Lounge

Main Terminal · from £46pp

The entry tier, and the only one of the three that takes children — £31.99 for a child place. It is also the only one that accepts Priority Pass and DragonPass, so if you hold either card this is the only room your membership opens.

Best for a quiet hour

Luxe by Aspire

Main Terminal · from £57pp · adults only

£11 over the standard lounge for an adults-only room. If the point of the booking is quiet rather than catering, this is the cheaper of the two ways to get it — but no card gets you in and no child can come with you.

Best for a treat

Suite by Aspire

Main Terminal · from £64pp · adults only

Table service instead of a buffet, and at £64 the dearest lounge we list at any UK airport. Also adults only. Worth it for a long wait or an occasion; hard to justify for an hour before a short-haul flight.

Choosing at Newcastle

One operator, three prices

Unlike most UK airports there is no brand competition here — Aspire runs all three. That makes the comparison unusually clean: the same operator, the same building, the same 03:30 opening, and £18 between the cheapest and the dearest. What you are buying with the extra is space and service, not a different company.

Two of the three are adults only

Luxe and Suite are both adults-only rooms. If you are travelling with children the decision is made for you: the standard Aspire Lounge at £46, which publishes a £31.99 child rate.

Your card only opens one door

Priority Pass and DragonPass both work at the Aspire Lounge and at neither of the upper tiers. If you hold a membership, the £46 room is the one it covers — and paying £57 or £64 on top of an annual fee is a decision worth making deliberately.

Closing time is the thing to check

All three open at 03:30, which is early even by UK standards. Closing is the variable: it moves by day of the week and by season, and on a Saturday in winter the published time is as early as 17:30. Confirm against your departure rather than assuming an evening flight is covered.

ClubAirSide earns a commission when you book through the Book buttons on this page. It never changes the price you pay, or which lounges we list or recommend. Advance prices are the lowest advance rates we’ve verified and move with date and demand. How we make money.
