Heathrow Airport lounges compared

Heathrow has more lounges than any other UK airport and you can use almost none of them. Once you clear security you are in your terminal for good — there is no airside link between T2, T3, T4 and T5 — so the only comparison that matters is the one inside your own building. Below: every lounge on price and hours, then the terminal-by-terminal answer, and separate verdicts for families and for anyone working before a flight. Prices and facilities checked against each operator’s own site on 30 September 2026.

Best lounge in each terminal

You cannot walk between Heathrow’s terminals airside, so this is the only comparison that changes what you can actually book. Reasoned from published prices, hours and age policies — not from visits, and never from a paid placement.

Terminal 2

No.1 Lounge

from £42pp · 05:00–21:00 daily

Seven pounds cheaper than the Plaza Premium next door and the only lounge in the terminal that publishes a meeting room. If you want a shower before a long-haul, the Plaza Premium is the one that has them — for a fee, and subject to availability.

Also here: Plaza Premium Lounge

Terminal 3

My Lounge

from £38pp · 05:00–22:00 daily

The cheapest departures lounge at Heathrow, and the only one here with a dress code relaxed enough for trainers and athleisure. Children from 2, under-2s free. The Plaza Premium in T3 is an arrivals lounge — cheap at £22, but no use to you on the way out.

Also here: Plaza Premium Lounge (Arrivals), No1 Lounge, Clubrooms

Terminal 4

Blush Lounge

from £30pp · 07:00–22:30, hours vary by day

At £30 it is the cheapest lounge at Heathrow, £19 under the Plaza Premium in the same terminal. The catch is the hours: it opens at 07:00 and the operator’s own page lists much shorter windows on some days, so check before you book an early flight.

Also here: Plaza Premium Lounge

Terminal 5

Club Aspire Lounge

from £40pp · 05:00–21:00 daily

Nine pounds under the Plaza Premium in T5 and the only one of the two with a published work zone. Worth knowing: Which?’s 2025 testers gave this lounge one star, so book it for the price and the desk rather than the dining.

Also here: Plaza Premium Lounge

Best with young children

Two things decide a family booking: whether the lounge will take your children at all, and what a child actually costs. Child prices below are Lounge Pass’s published child rate, which is the only child pricing published consistently across these lounges.

The finding that matters: not one Heathrow lounge publishes a single facility aimed at children — no kids’ zone, no playroom, no games. Gatwick has four lounges that do. If you are flying with young children and have a choice of London airport, that is a real difference. Within Heathrow, the No1-group lounges charge about £25 for a child while the Plaza Premium lounges charge the full adult fare — on a family of four that is a £48 gap. See our UK family lounge guide for age limits by brand.

Best for business travellers

Sorted by opening time, because for a 06:00 departure that is the only thing that matters. Work facilities list only what the operator’s own page names — where it says nothing, we say nothing rather than assume.

Heathrow beats Gatwick on two things a working traveller cares about. Meeting rooms: the No1 lounges in T2 and T3 are the only two at either airport that publish one. Showers: every Plaza Premium lounge here has them and no Gatwick lounge does — which makes T5’s Plaza Premium, open from 04:45, the obvious choice off a red-eye. If you fly through often enough, work out whether a membership beats paying at the door with our Priority Pass break-even calculator.

Choosing at Heathrow

Your terminal is decided before you book

Terminal 2 has two lounges, Terminal 3 has four, Terminal 4 has three and Terminal 5 has three. There is no airside connection between any of them, so check which terminal your airline uses before you compare a single price. If you book the wrong building you do not get a refund on the day.

The £22 lounge is an arrivals lounge

The cheapest entry at Heathrow is the Plaza Premium in Terminal 3 at £22, and it is only useful when you land. It opens 06:00–14:00 and sits landside of departures — genuinely good value for a shower and a workstation after a night flight, and no use at all before one.

Terminal 4 has the biggest spread

Blush at £30 and the Plaza Premium at £49 are in the same building, and the £19 between them buys showers, a meditation room and four extra hours of opening. Which is worth it depends entirely on your departure time.

Two brands, four terminals, one pattern

Heathrow is split almost cleanly between the No1 group — No.1 Lounge, No1 Lounge, My Lounge, Clubrooms and Club Aspire — and Plaza Premium. As a rule the No1-group rooms are cheaper and better for families; the Plaza Premium rooms have the showers. Nothing else at Heathrow varies as reliably as that.

Clubrooms will turn your children away

Clubrooms in Terminal 3 is 12+ only and says so plainly. It is also the best-rated brand in Britain — Which? put Clubrooms top of its 2025 investigation — so it is the right booking for two adults and the wrong one for a family.

Memberships

Every bookable lounge at Heathrow except the SkyTeam lounge accepts Priority Pass. The American Express Centurion lounge in T3 is Platinum-only and the British Airways Galleries Club in T5 is for BA cabins and status, so neither can be bought.

Frequently asked

How many lounges does Heathrow have?

Thirteen that we list across four terminals — two in T2, four in T3, three in T4 and three in T5. Ten of those can be booked by any traveller; the American Express Centurion lounge and the British Airways Galleries Club require a card or a cabin class, and Etihad’s The House in T4 is temporarily closed.

Which Heathrow lounge is cheapest?

The Blush Lounge in Terminal 4, from £30. The Plaza Premium arrivals lounge in Terminal 3 is cheaper at £22, but it is for passengers landing rather than departing.

Can I use a lounge in a different Heathrow terminal?

No. Heathrow’s terminals have no airside connection, so you can only use a lounge in the terminal you are departing from. Check your boarding pass before booking.

Which Heathrow lounge is best for families?

On price, My Lounge in Terminal 3 — the cheapest departures lounge, children from 2 and under-2s free. No Heathrow lounge publishes a children’s play area, and Clubrooms in T3 does not admit under-12s at all.

Which Heathrow lounges have showers?

The Plaza Premium lounges in Terminals 2, 4 and 5, and the Plaza Premium arrivals lounge in Terminal 3. At Terminal 2 the operator notes that a charge may apply and that showers are subject to availability.

Which Heathrow lounge opens earliest?

The Plaza Premium Lounge in Terminal 5, at 04:45. Most of the rest open at 05:00, and Blush in Terminal 4 not until 07:00.
