Birmingham Airport lounges compared

Birmingham has five lounges in a single terminal, which makes it one of the few UK airports where you genuinely choose rather than having your boarding pass choose for you. Three of them are Aspire wearing different badges at £42, £52 and £62, so the real question is what the extra £20 buys. Checked against Aspire’s and No1’s own sites in October 2026.

Our picks at Birmingham

Reasoned from published prices, opening hours and age policies — not from visits, and never from a paid placement.

Best value

No1 Lounge

Main Terminal · from £40pp

The cheapest of the five and £2 under the entry-level Aspire, with a published child rate of £25 and a library area the others don’t have. If you are not specifically buying a premium tier, this is the one.

Best for a treat

Clubrooms

Main Terminal · from £46pp · 12+

Which?’s 2025 undercover testing rated Clubrooms at Birmingham among the two best lounges in Britain, and at £46 it undercuts both upper Aspire tiers. Hosted table service rather than a buffet. No guests under 12, and Priority Pass members pay an extra fee from £10.

Best for families

Aspire Lounge

Main Terminal · from £42pp

The only one of the five with both a published child rate and no age bar — £32.99 for a child. Clubrooms excludes under-12s outright, and neither Luxe nor Suite publishes a child price or an age policy — Aspire’s equivalent tiers at Newcastle are adults-only, so confirm before booking either for a family.

Choosing at Birmingham

Three of the five are the same operator

Aspire runs the Aspire Lounge at £42, Luxe by Aspire at £52 and Suite by Aspire at £62. They are tiers of one product, not three independent rooms: Luxe adds a quieter space, Suite adds table service instead of a buffet. Whether that is worth £20 is the only real decision at this airport.

The cheapest is not an Aspire

No1 Lounge at £40 undercuts the entry Aspire by £2 and Clubrooms by £6. It is also the only one here that publishes both a library area and a child rate, which is an odd combination but a useful one.

Clubrooms is the value surprise

At £46 it sits below Luxe and Suite while being the room Which? rated joint-best in the country. The catch is the age bar — 12 and over only — and that Priority Pass members are charged an additional fee from £10 a head rather than walking in free.

Opening hours split the field

The Aspire rooms open at 03:30, earlier than anything else here, but the Aspire Lounge itself closes at 18:00 and starts at 06:00 in some months. No1 runs 04:00–21:00 and Clubrooms 04:00–20:30. On an evening departure that narrows the list faster than price does.
